eBrevia Co-founder & CTO Jake Mundt to Speak at Legal Innovators California
The legal industry has moved past the stage of asking whether AI matters. The more useful question now is what responsible, practical adoption actually looks like inside legal teams and law firms.
That’s one of the reasons we’re looking forward to attending Legal Innovators California in San Francisco next week. The conference has become one of the more substantive conversations in legal tech, focused on how lawyers, legal operations teams, and technology providers are approaching real operational change.
This year, eBrevia Co-Founder and CTO Jake Mundt will be joining the panel discussion “Automating Away The Pain” during the conference’s in-house day.
eBrevia co-founder and CTO Jake Mundt will speak at Legal Innovators California in San Francisco on June 11, 2026 at 4pm.
The session will focus on a topic that resonates with almost every legal department right now: identifying the repetitive, time-consuming work that slows teams down and figuring out where automation can genuinely help, without creating new risks or unnecessary complexity.
The conversation is expected to cover practical questions many legal teams are actively working through today:
What legal workflows are actually good candidates for automation?
Where does AI meaningfully improve efficiency, and where does it still fall short?
How should teams think about the balance between buying tools, building internally, and combining approaches?
What does effective human oversight look like as AI systems become more capable?
Jake will be joining an accomplished group of panelists from Intel, Chime, DISCO, and Miro to discuss how in-house legal teams are approaching these issues in practice, particularly around workflow design, data quality, and creating systems lawyers will actually use.
At eBrevia, we’ve always believed the value of AI in legal work comes less from replacing lawyers and more from reducing friction around the work lawyers already do every day. That philosophy continues to shape both our contract analytics platform and the newer products we’re bringing to market.
One area we’re especially excited to discuss at the conference is DraftPro, eBrevia’s pre-execution AI drafting and negotiation tool.
DraftPro was built around a fairly straightforward idea: Legal teams shouldn’t have to choose between speed and control during contract drafting and negotiation. The goal is to help lawyers move faster inside familiar workflows while still maintaining visibility, consistency, and judgment throughout the process.
Like much of the current generation of legal AI tools, the challenge is not simply generating text. The harder problem, and arguably the more important one, is building systems that fit into the realities of legal practice, support good decision-making, and produce outputs lawyers can trust and verify.
We expect many of the conversations at Legal Innovators California this year to center around exactly that tension: how legal organizations move from experimentation to durable operational change.
If you’ll be attending the conference, we’d welcome the opportunity to connect.
